Paris-based Linkup raises €3 million aiming to revolutionise ethical and efficient web access for AI | EU-Startups
by Antonio L. Escárzaga · EU-StartupsLinkup, a French startup providing AI with fast, ethical access to online content, has secured €3 million supported by leading investors, including Seedcamp, Axeleo Capital, Motier Ventures, and a network of prominent tech and media industry angels to further develop its sustainable alternative to web scraping and address the challenges posed by AI-driven web traffic.
Founded in 2024 by Philippe Mizrahi, Denis Charrier, and Boris Toledano—bringing experience from companies like Spotify, Lyft, and McKinsey—Linkup is redefining how AI systems access web content. The platform offers a sustainable ecosystem, creating partnerships with premium content sources to provide AI systems of all sizes with fast, ethical access to online data.
Philippe Mizrahi said: “The Internet was designed to facilitate information access for humans. Soon, AI agents will do this on our behalf. It is therefore essential to rethink the web to enable efficient browsing for these agents and to promote the emergence of a new business model,” he continued with: “At Linkup, we put ethics at the heart of our technology, convinced that the future of AI agents lies in a sustainable ecosystem where content providers, who are vital to the richness of the internet, are fairly compensated.”
Strategic investors support global ambitions
In just a few months, Linkup has gained the trust of around 50 partners, including prominent technology companies and premium content providers, who recognise its potential to transform the web’s digital infrastructure for AI.
Linkup’s investors include Seedcamp, known for backing companies like Wise and Revolut; Axeleo Capital, which has supported startups like Trustpair; and Motier Ventures, a key player in ventures such as Mistral AI. These investors bring expertise, credibility, and a shared commitment to Linkup’s vision of a fairer and more efficient ecosystem for AI-driven web traffic.
Sia Houchangnia, Partner at Seedcamp said: “AI tools have unprecedented potential to transform industries, and their power increases exponentially when connected to vast, relevant data sources. With the rise of AI agents, we have a unique opportunity to rethink our digital infrastructure for a world that demands a fairer and more sustainable approach to content access, an area that has long needed change. This is where Linkup comes in. As a pioneer of a new ethical model for tomorrow’s web traffic, Linkup is setting a new standard where deep analysis and powerful applications go hand in hand with fairness.”
Scaling up for global impact
The €3 million funding will support Linkup’s strategic growth in several areas:
- Development of proprietary models and capabilities.
- Expansion of its solution with robust infrastructure to cater to growing demand.
- Strengthening partnerships with content publishers and data providers globally.
With partnerships already established in Asia and the United States, Linkup plans to accelerate its deployment across the USA in the coming months. The company is also recruiting for Machine Learning and Software Engineering positions to bolster its technical team.
