The Piraeus Port Authority (OLP) will award 10 scholarships worth a total of €30,000 to first-year university students for the 2026-27 academic year, continuing its Kunpeng Scholarship programme for a second year.
Each scholarship will provide €3,000 to students from the municipalities of Piraeus, Perama, Keratsini-Drapetsona and Salamina. This year, OLP has also expanded the programme’s income criteria, allowing more families from the wider Piraeus area to apply.
The 2026-27 programme coincides with the 10th anniversary of COSCO SHIPPING’s strategic investment in and management of the Piraeus Port Authority.
According to OLP, the first year of the programme launched an initiative that combines recognition of young people’s academic efforts with practical financial support as they enter higher education.
The second consecutive year of the programme continues that support while strengthening OLP’s contribution to the educational development of young people in the wider Piraeus area. The expansion of the income criteria represents a key change this year and allows students from a broader range of households to participate.
The programme is open to first-year students at Greek universities who graduated from Greek public General or Vocational Upper Secondary Schools and hold municipal registration in Piraeus, Perama, Keratsini-Drapetsona or Salamina, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
OLP said the continuation and expansion of the scholarship programme forms part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, with a focus on education and strengthening the port’s ties with neighbouring communities.
The programme will select 10 scholarship recipients, with each receiving €3,000.
OLP said the initiative aims to support young people as they develop their potential and move forward with greater confidence towards the next stage of their careers.
Applicants must submit their applications and required supporting documents exclusively online by October 30 at 4:30 pm.
Full eligibility requirements, the new income criteria, application procedure and application form are available on the official OLP website.
