Paros Gains Global Tourism Spotlight with British Airways, Delta and Wallpaper Features

by · Greek City Times

Paros is continuing to strengthen its reputation as one of Greece’s leading island destinations, earning high-profile recognition from major international airlines and travel publications.

The Municipality of Paros announced that the Cycladic island is now featured on the official websites of British Airways and Delta Air Lines, following a successful promotional campaign earlier this year in the in-flight magazine of India’s IndiGo airline.

Paros Featured by British Airways, Delta and Wallpaper as Top Greek Island

Delta describes Paros as “a tranquil haven” where visitors can enjoy serene elegance, picturesque alleyways and fresh seafood served straight from the fishing boats.

British Airways highlights the island’s traditional Cycladic architecture, stunning beaches, lush mountains and charming villages, describing Paros as an ideal destination for both relaxation and adventure.

The airline also praises the island’s long-standing reputation as a world-class destination for kitesurfing and windsurfing, while encouraging travellers to explore Parikia, Lefkes and Naoussa, known for their whitewashed homes, cobbled streets, vibrant dining scene and lively nightlife.

Paros has also received international acclaim from the British design and architecture magazine Wallpaper, which featured the island in its June 2026 travel edition.

The magazine described Paros as one of the Cyclades’ most versatile destinations, praising its ability to seamlessly combine working ports, agricultural landscapes, dramatic beaches and authentic Greek hospitality.

According to Wallpaper, the island’s relaxed atmosphere and strong local identity are among the qualities that keep visitors returning year after year.

Further recognition has come from the AI-powered travel platform Voyaiger, which recommends Parikia, Lefkes and Naoussa for their picturesque streets, boutique shops and easy access via the island’s public transport network.

Mayor Costas Bizas welcomed the growing international attention, saying Paros has firmly established itself on the global tourism map.

He noted that being showcased by leading British and American airlines is particularly significant, as the United Kingdom and the United States remain two of the island’s most important tourism markets.

The latest endorsements reinforce Paros’ growing international profile as Greece continues to attract strong interest from travellers seeking authentic island experiences beyond the country’s best-known destinations.
