Accor says AI tools already running in more than 200 of its hotels can save up to 100 hours of work per property each month, shifting time from routine admin to guests.

Nicolas Maynard, the group’s senior vice president for data science and AI, told Skift that Accor’s Guest Relation AI Platform has cut response times to guest queries from about 30 minutes to about one minute. At the top end, 100 hours a month is 1,200 hours a year per hotel. Accor says that time is not an automatic cut in jobs. The aim is to take repetitive communication and administration off staff.

Maynard called the approach “augmented hospitality”: AI to support employees, not replace them. By the end of 2026 the company wants AI to resolve up to 30 percent of internal support requests on its own and to assist on another 30 to 40 percent.

Other Accor tools already have published figures. An AI assistant for Oracle Opera Cloud is estimated to save 30 to 60 minutes a day per employee. AccorGPT saves about 2.5 hours a week for roughly 7,000 users. The group has also linked its ALL Accor programme to ChatGPT.

For Greek hotels the staffing point is sharper. HOTREC puts the labour gap in Greek hospitality at about 14 percent, against a European average of about 10 percent. The practical question is how many low-value hours AI can free in a market that still cannot fill shifts. In Europe, hotel use of AI also comes with transparency rules.
