GI Oncology Summit tomorrow
by InsideOut Consult · Star of MysoreMysuru: Leading Oncologists, Gastroenterologists and Surgical Specialists will converge for the GI Oncology Summit-2026, a scientific meeting focusing on emerging approaches in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers on theme ‘Changing Dynamics in GI Oncology’ jointly organised by ClearMedi Healthcare, GUT Club Mysore, the Karnataka Chapter of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) and the Cancer Research and Statistic Foundation (CRSF) at Arcor Hotel in city on Sept. 19 from 1 pm to 9 pm.
The scientific programme will cover oesophageal, gastric, pancreatic, hepatobiliary and colorectal cancers, with experts discussing advances in early detection, endoscopy, robotic surgery, immunotherapy, targeted treatment and newer systemic therapies. Sessions will examine AI-assisted endoscopy, Narrow Band Imaging and chromoendoscopy in gastric cancer, while pancreatic cancer discussions will focus on precision diagnosis staging and emerging targeted therapies.
The hepatobiliary segment will cover recent clinical trial outcomes and treatment strategies for advanced liver and bile duct cancers.
An international keynote will be delivered by Dr. Vasanth Siruvallur Murali of Natera, Dallas, on the clinical utility of circulating tumour DNA in monitoring minimal residual disease in colorectal and muscle-invasive bladder cancers.
The Summit will also address palliative endoscopic care, robotic colorectal surgery and evolving multi-line systemic treatments, offering clinicians a platform to exchange expertise on the rapidly changing landscape of GI oncology.
