Mysuru: In a relief to pensioners, Postmen will now provide doorstep service to pensioners for submitting their Digital Life Certificates.

In general, all pensioners are required to submit Jeevan  Pramaan  Patra (Life Certificate) every year in the month of November to continue withdrawal of pension by visiting their banks.

Recently, India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) of Department of Posts has launched the doorstep life Certificate Submission Service for pensioners. They also have option of submitting Life Certificate at the nearest Post Office. Special camps will be organised across all Post Offices starting Nov.1.

The process will be undertaken using mobile phone, face authentication and biometrics. Now, pensioners can submit their request to the Postman or visit the nearest Post Office.

The service will attract a nominal fee of Rs. 70 for regular Central and State Government pensioners, while it is completely free for Department of Telecom (DOT) pensioners. All pensioners can avail this service.
