Mysuru: JSS Knowledge Resource Centre for Science and Technology is established by JSS Mahavidyapeetha at Suttur Sri Kshetra, Nanjangud taluk in the district  with financial assistance from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka.

This Centre aims to be an excellent educational and resource centre for students and teachers to enrich their scientific knowledge by fostering awareness, a scientific attitude and a scientific way of thinking. Additionally, it offers an immersive and experiential setting for both entertainment and learning.

Regular workshops are being conducted for the students of high schools in two sessions.

Session 1- Hands-on training with Science models: Science models will be demonstrated (hands-on training) to the students in order to enhance their understanding of Science by promoting awareness, a scientific mindset and a scientific way of thinking. By receiving practical instruction and exposure to real-world concepts, the students will improve their ability to reason and make more informed decisions. For this, 30 indoor Science models and 16 outdoor Science models based on scientific ideas were developed.

These exhibits create an innovative learning environment where School children learn the scientific ideas while enjoying.

Session 2- Student Development Programme: The student development programme plays a crucial role in helping High School students grow academically. In this session, the Centre will provide the academic support such as study skills, mind management memory and concentration technique                                                                                                      which can enhance students’ academic performance.

So far, 874 students from different High Schools have visited the Centre and  participated                                             in the workshop. The High School students can visit this Centre and experience hands-on training with innovative science models. The entry is free.
