Miscreants steal smartphone; transfer Rs. 2.69 lakh through UPI

Mysuru: Miscreants, who stole a smartphone of a man on Jumboo Savari day, have transferred Rs. 2.69 lakh from the man’s bank account illegally.

The man, who lost his phone and money, is 36-year-old M. Mahesh, a resident of Siddalingapura. On Oct. 21, Mahesh, who had come to city, had gone near the Town Hall to witness Jumboo Savari when the thieves stole his mobile phone and later transferred Rs. 2.69 lakh via UPI.

Mahesh has lodged a complaint at CEN Crime Police Station on Nov. 2.
