A model of the Tyne Bridge worth £1,000 was among the rare sets on display this weekend. National Brick Events hosted an event at Sport Central in Newcastle city centre on Sunday.

More than 20 traders were selling rare and discontinued sets, a large majority of which were LEGO. Those who attended were able to look at the sets on display or purchase them.

Among the LEGO items on display were Star Wars and Harry Potter models as well as a selection of cars. The vehicles included the Batmobile and the Ghostbusters car.

There were also a selection of LEGO characters up for sale. Children were able to enjoy building towers in the soft play area after browsing what was on offer.
