Manchester United approach manager via intermediary – Steps taken as Ten Hag pressure grows

by · Sport Witness

Last month, we covered claims from Italy that Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi has ended up on Manchester United’s radar. It was also stated the Serie A side should ‘watch out for his farewell’ in 2025.

The Nerazzurri manager has been ‘recently’ approached by the Red Devils.

That’s according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin, and he’s shared more updates on Manchester United in his column for L’Interista.

Biasin says Manchester United made a telephone call to the Italian through an intermediary. The manager signed a new deal [until 2026] back in July, after helping Inter win the title last season.

Inzaghi is happy at the San Siro and at this moment in time, it ‘would be impossible’ for him to leave the club.

Erik ten Hag, who is currently in charge at Old Trafford, faces an uncertain future. The latest claims from the UK are stating the Dutchman could be relived from his duties if the Premier League side fail to win against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Manchester United have endured a poor run under Ten Hag this season. They are 13th in the table and failed to win their two Europa League group stage matches.
