Manchester United have ‘sniffed the winds’ for signing – Club will listen to offers

Manchester United have ‘sniffed the winds’ for AC Milan star Rafa Leao this summer, with AC Milan ready to listen to offers for him.

Gazzetta dello Sport report on the forward today and how this weekend could be his farewell at the Italian giants.

Milan open to deal

The newspaper explains that Milan’s clash with Cagliari risks becoming Rafa Leao’s last for the Rossoneri.

It’s no secret that the club are ‘ready to consider potential offers’ for him. And there’s already suitors ready to make their move. Manchester United and Fenerbahçe have ‘recent sniffed the winds’ for the player, eyeing up a potential deal.

Leao is basically on the market, although any negotiations will depend on the ‘tone of the offers’ that are made for him. Milan are open to the deal either way, with Leao left hurt by a recent hostile attitude from the home crowd.

The question is what Manchester United, and the other suitors might offer. Gazzetta dello Sport make no mention of that here.

€40-60m

But Sport Witness have covered various reports about a potential move for months. A report last month explained that Jorge Mendes was working on a potential €50m deal for the winger.

The idea has grown and progressed from there. Mendes is at the centre of it, with a potential one in one out deal even mooted at one point.

The last report, 12 days ago, stated that a move to Manchester United would be a ‘dream’ transfer. That claimed that the deal could be on for €50-60m.

Now Gazzetta dello Sport insist that Manchester United are sniffing around, eyeing up a potential deal. And Milan are not opposed to the idea either, or it seems is Rafa Leao. It is, as is usually the case, all about the money. The right price will likely get the move done with little fuss.
