Brentford, Newcastle and Manchester United ‘intensely competing’ for signing – Massive offer required

Brentford, Newcastle United and Manchester United are ‘intensely competing’ for the signing of Hoffenheim ‘whirlwind’ Bazoumana Touré this summer.

BILD report that the Premier League trio are all keen on the 20-year-old winger. But it will take a massive offer this summer to get him from Hoffenheim.

Object of desire

The newspaper explains that Bazoumana Touré is the ‘object of desire’ in the Premier League. He’s been dazzling in the Bundesliga this season with his ‘blistering pace’ and ‘carefree attitude’, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed in England.

According to BILD’s information, three clubs are keen on the winger. Brentford, Newcastle and Manchester United are ‘intensely competing’ for his signature.

Manchester United are particularly keen as they seek offensive reinforcements. Touré fits the profile that they’re looking for perfectly. He is young, lightning fast and has enormous potential for improvement.

The issue is that getting him out of Hoffenheim won’t be easy. They have the youngster tied to a deal until 2029. It does not include a release clause.

Anyone wanting to sign the Ivorian will have to convince the club’s management with a substantial offer. Sporting director Andreas Schicker has repeatedly emphasised that the club want to keep their key player. They will, though, negotiate if suitable offers are received.

€40m at least

Interest from the Premier League is becoming increasingly concrete. Brentford, Newcastle and Manchester United are all keen.

Should one of those clubs make a move, a serious one, then the belief is that it will be difficult for Hoffenheim to keep their prized asset. Bazoumana Touré is already valued at €40m, so it’s easy to imagine the kind of fee that the German club would demand.

Interestingly, Brentford have already indicated a willingness to spend €50m on Said El Mala this summer. He and his representatives have since turned down the move. So Touré could be the alternative option. Either way, they clearly have money to spend.

Newcastle too, will be on the hunt for wingers after selling Anthony Gordon to Barcelona. They have money to spend so Hoffenheim’s asking price may not be an issue.

It now remains to be seen whether those two, or Manchester United, are willing to take their interest to the next level.
