Four days ago, Sport Witness covered claims from Spain that Barcelona, Manchester City and Atlético Madrid expressed interest in the left-back.

Monday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo has a report on Barcelona’s interest and also names Manchester United and Manchester City.

The 27-year-old has already informed the Blues of his desire to leave as both feel his time at the club has come to an end.

The parties understand it’s best to part ways and Chelsea need a convincing offer. Mundo say the Stamford Bridge club would be willing to sell for €40-50m.

Marc Cucurella graduated from Barcelona’s academy and would like to return to his old club.

However, their priority is to strengthen other areas and they would only consider him if Alejandro Balde were to move elsewhere.

As well as the La Liga winners, the fullback is attracting interest from other clubs. This is when Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid are named.

These clubs have closely monitored the former Getafe man, and Los Rojiblancos have been the most persistent.

Mundo state: ‘[He] would be willing to wait for Barcelona if there were a firm commitment from the Catalan club, but the reality is that, as of today, the Blaugrana cannot offer him such guarantees given their other priorities.’

Luis de la Fuente has Cucurella in his squad for the World Cup and the latter won’t make a decision until after the tournament.

He won’t rule out a quick move if there’s a very lucrative offer and a tempting sporting project. It’s unclear whether Manchester United or Manchester City would be willing to make quick advances.

Mundo Deportivo claims Manchester United and Manchester City want Marc Cucurella

The Red Devils are looking to sign a new left-back this summer. Mundo could use Michael Carrick’s side, to create a hype around Marc Cucurella favouring Barcelona.

It needs to be seen whether that’s the case or there’s genuine interest from Manchester United in the fullback.

Taking the Spaniard’s price and Premier League experience into account, he could be a great option for the Old Trafford club.
