Metaphor: ReFantazio Switch 2 Port Coming

The Atlus JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio will show up on the Switch 2. It appeared during the June 9, 2026 Nintendo Direct showcase. Footage of the game running on the system appeared during the presentation ahead of its November 12, 2026 release.

Metaphor: ReFantazio follows Will, an Elda, and Gallica, a fairy, as they head to Euchronia after the death of the king to meet with a Resistance member named Grius to help save the kingdom’s prince from a curse. However, it turns out the best way to do so is to join the competition to become king of the country so they can get close to Louis, the man who left his highness near death. As the crew travels around the country, their retinue grows, they gain more support from people, and they learn more about the nature of the world.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is one of the first games from the Studio Zero branch at Atlus. It was a multiplatform title that showed up on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC all at once in October 2024. However, it’s unknown still if we could see it inspire sequels.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is headed to the Switch 2 on November 12, 2026, and it is already on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC worldwide.
