Looking for a gaming laptop that offers some serious performance for the price? You can get an Asus V16 at Amazon for $1,189.99 (was $1,499.99). That's over $300 off this powerful gaming laptop with an Intel Core 7, RTX 5060, and 32GB of RAM.

These are modern specs for the current gaming market. The RTX 5060 from Nvidia's latest GPU series guarantees some longevity for the next few years, and the 32GB of RAM raises this V16 configuration higher than the average gaming laptop that costs around $1,200.

The full price lands this laptop right at mid-range, but the price cut brings it closer to budget territory, while still offering enough power to run even the most demanding games at medium-to-high settings in 1080p, without compromising on frame rate.

Asus V16 Gaming Laptop: was $1,499.99 now $1,189.99 at Amazon

The Asus V16 Gaming Laptop comes in a couple of configurations, but this one stands out for its RTX 5060 GPU with 32GB of RAM. It's well worth paying just $90 more for double the RAM you'd get in the cheaper 16GB configuration. Along with the Intel Core 7 and 1TB SSD, these specs point to a mid-range gaming laptop for a near-budget price. I'd buy now if you want that gaming laptop upgrade sooner than Black Friday.

The Asus V16 is a more lightweight alternative to the Asus TUF gaming laptop series. In our Asus V16 review, our reviewer praised the balance between its large screen and light body, its fans with reasonable noise suppression, and a "clicky and snappy" keyboard that didn't require much pressure to use. It earned four out of five stars.

The battery life is another standout quality, promising up to 15 hours on one charge. Our tester reported around 12 hours, which is less than that, but double the battery life of something like the Acer Nitro V.

As for its other specs, the 16-inch screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate, the bare minimum for fast-paced gameplay, and 300 nits of brightness. That's about average, but good value for the price.
