GMKTec has introduced the NEO-X1 series, a compact MoDT gaming desktop that squeezes serious desktop-class hardware into a 14.6-liter chassis.

The company pairs an AMD Ryzen 9000HX series mobile processor with a full desktop-class NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics card.

With this configuration, this device is somewhere between a traditional laptop and a full-sized desktop tower system.

Chassis and power delivery for sustained performance

The chassis integrates a built-in liquid cooling loop alongside an 850-watt fully modular power supply with an 80 Plus Gold rating.

Built-in liquid cooling becomes especially relevant given the processor's ability to sustain such elevated power draw continuously inside a relatively compact 14.6-liter enclosure.

Its motherboard uses a 13-phase power design and allows the processor to draw up to 160 watts under sustained load.

The HX3D designation typically refers to AMD's 3D V-Cache technology, which stacks extra cache to boost gaming performance in demanding, cache-sensitive workloads.
