Walmart's cheap new Google TV streaming stick has appeared — get 4K and Dolby Atmos for a very low price

Walmart appears to have revealed its latest budget streaming stick, the Onn 4K Streaming Stick, though perhaps more by accident than design. There hasn't been an official announcement but the device has been spotted on some store shelves by an eagle-eyed Redditor.
According to Justlook361 (via Android Headlines), who posted photos of the boxed streamer, someone at the store may have made a mistake: there was just one box on the shelf and "it was mixed in with a bunch of sticks" rather than racked in its own shelf section. That fits with speculation that the device is launching in May; it's possible that the store put stock out early by mistake.
In terms of specs you're getting a lot for very little money: the sticker price of $30 gives you dual-band Wi-Fi, 4K and Dolby Atmos with support for Google Cast and voice control via Gemini for TV. It looks like an attractive Chromecast replacement and could be one of the best streaming devices for budget buyers in the US.

Onn 4K Streaming Stick: key features
The box contains the 4K streaming stick, an 11.8-inch HDMI extender for awkward spaces, a remote with two included AA batteries and an AC adapter with a 4.88ft cable. The listed specifications are a quad-core Cortex-A55 processor, ARM Mali G57 GPU, 2GB of RAM with 8GB of storage and dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
That's a decent upgrade on previous versions, which were 1080p rather than 4K,, and had 1GB of RAM rather than 2GB.
At $30, this streaming stick is a little more expensive than existing models, which come in at around $20 for the Full HD streaming stick, but of course it's a better spec with higher resolution. And $30 is hardly expensive.
We don't have an official launch date yet but given that branches appear to have stock already it won't be long before the new streaming stick is official. And it may well be more widely available before the official release: in 2023 and 2024, Walmart stores were selling streaming devices weeks before they were officially launched.
