Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 has dialed up the drama and, with it, has brought plenty of new challenges along the way.

At the time of writing, we're three episodes into season 2, and the Disney+ series continues to bring the surprises. Long-time fans of Rick Riordan's work know The Sea of Monsters well, and now we've seen it all unfold on screen.

With it comes a lot of water-focused scenes as Percy and the gang have found themselves aboard the Princess Andromeda, and it turns out it's just as crazy behind the scenes.

In an interview with TechRadar, Percy Jackson actor Walker Scobell spoke about the dynamic set and how it made having lunch very difficult.

He told me: "Being on the Princess Andromeda, the cruise ship, I gotta say it was awesome. That was the coolest set, I would say. Okay, it didn't feel the best, but they made this rig, and it tilts and shifts so it looks like the boat is rocking."

"The camera would be in there with us and they'd still have to turn it, there was all these lamps swinging and stuff. I was sitting there like 'why are we rocking?' and I'd eat an entire peanut butter jelly sandwich in there. So yeah, I can't eat one of those anymore," explained Scobell.

While Scobell did say this was one of the biggest challenges, he clarified that it was such a fun experience that he couldn't feel mad about it, even if it has put him off eating one of his favorite sandwiches for a while.
