Oodie launches 40% off sale on all designs ahead of Black Friday

With winter creeping in, and temperatures dropping, many households across the UK will be debating whether it's time to turn the heating on yet. But one purchase will keep you warm and cosy without racking up your heating bills - and that is an Oodie.

The Oodie, which first launched in 2018, is essentially an oversized wearable blanket, fully lined with a warm Sherpa fleece material, and featuring a hood and a large pocket in the front to keep you stocked up on snacks during a cosy night in - or to hide the remote control in during a movie night.

The Oodie gained popularity in 2020 during the Covid-19, when there was a surge in interest in loungewear as everyone adapted to life indoors.

If you haven't yet purchased an Oodie for yourself, now is the perfect time to do so, as not only will it keep you warm and snuggly as the seasons change, and stop you reaching to turn up the thermostat, but you can also currently grab the garment at a bargain price, with a 40% discount.

Although Black Friday is still a month away, the deals have started early over at Oodie, with its entire Originals range now reduced from the usual retail price of £65, down to just £39 - the lowest ever price for these items.

This deal includes a whopping 78 different designs, from block colours such as black, grey, purple, sage green, and burgundy, to fun animal, food, and nature prints, including dogs, cats, coffee cups, avocados, and a zodiac signs collection.

One happy customer who swears by their Oodie is Narin Flanders, at the Daily Mirror, who has bought the wearable blanket in several different designs since she purchased her first one in 2022, paying £89 for the item.

Writing for the Mirror, Narin penned: "At the time, I was a bit worried that something I was only wearing around the house couldn't be worth that kind of outlay. But more than two years on, it's paid for itself time over in terms of money saved not turning the heating on while working from home.

The Oodie also comes in fun designs, like animal or food prints(Image: Oodie.co.uk)

"As someone who works from home a lot while everyone else is out of the house, Oodie really helped cut the amount the heating is on during the day, although it's also perfect to snuggle up with watching TV of an evening. I even chose a deliberately understated navy style so that, at a push, I could get away with it in work team video calls.

"When I bought mine it wasn't a snap purchase, and I spent a lot of time researching dupes and similar products before taking the plunge.

"In the end, what made me choose the premium product - and rest assured, The Oodie is premium and therefore is one of the pricier of these kind of blankets - was the fact many reviews mentioned how amazingly plush and fluffy the fleece of the blanket was.

"When I put The Oodie on I very quickly noticed the difference in how warm I felt. Even sitting at the laptop without moving for an hour or two at a time, when I'd normally suddenly feel really cold and have to stand up and make a brew, instead I was getting up to stretch my legs rather than because I couldn't feel them anymore."

Narin even went on to buy Oodies for her whole family, choosing some of the more colourful prints for her youngsters, including a Christmas-themed Mickey Mouse design - which, she writes, "is resolutely worn year-round".

In fact, she added: "Oodie's huge 40% off pre-Black Friday sale would have me seriously considering buying a replacement, if mine still didn't look great despite being washed and worn regularly over the years."

Narin concluded: "Coming into its third winter, I am thrilled at how soft and thick my original Oodie still is - even with my slightly dodgy reputation for making things lose their fluffiness in the washing machine. The only issue with washing it is that it's so thick drying it in winter can take a while unless you have a dehumidifier, or a spare to wear while it dries."

Oodie's early Black Friday deals are some of the best that have been seen so far ahead of the sales event in November - rivalling similar products like the Supersoft Faux Fur Hooded Blanket from M&S, which is currently just £4 cheaper than the Oodie's deal price, at £35. So don't miss out, and act now to get your hands on this luxurious, snuggly garment.
