Amazon slashes price of Lindt giant truffle ball that's perfect for Christmas to just £12

Lindt has tempted sweet-toothed shoppers by cutting the price of its coveted Lindor Milk Chocolate Maxi Ball, which is packed with 40 truffles, by an impressive 20 per cent. The treat resembles the brand's classic Lindor Truffle ball but is upsized to house a generous serving of chocolates.

Currently on sale through Amazon for £12, reduced from its original £14.99, this deal is also matched on Lindt's own website. This offer even outshines Tesco's deal for their normal 500g pack, that goes for £12.50 with a Clubcard, reports MyLondon.

Proudly created by its Master Chocolatiers since 1845, Lindt's novelty Maxi Ball could become a delightful Christmas offering or an enchanting centrepiece during the festive season, thanks to its ample load of 40 signature truffles and its visually captivating design.

Amazon customers, having awarded it a resounding 4.7 stars from 3,073 reviews, are more than happy with the Maxi Ball. A satisfied customer said: "Great chocolates and these were a great price too. Less than the usual price of £15 and usually only at supermarkets at Christmas. The inside red tin had separated but it was easy enough to undo one end and lock it together again and twist up the end. I also added something extra into the tin ball before I put it back together. A nice gift."

One satisfied customer shared: "How can you go wrong with a big ball filled with Lindor chocolates? I've purchased this a couple of times as gifts, and needless to say, the recipient has always been happy. There really isn't much to say about this product. If you've ever had or seen a Lindor ball before, the only way to describe this would be to say it's just a very big version of that! Inside, you'll find around 40 of these Lindor chocolates, unfortunately not as big as the wrapper. The actual packaging is a round ball that can open out into two halves, presumably one of the halves is to be used as a sharing bowl, but don't get your hopes up, as I only got 1 chocolate! This is the perfect gift for anyone who loves Lindt chocolate, including yourself of course."

Another added: "Purchased a few as Christmas gifts and they went down really well! A bit different to just giving a box and it worked out cheaper too (by gram vs a box)! Would purchase again! ".

However, not all customers were completely satisfied. One remarked: "I mean it's okay, the actual ball it could have been filled up slightly more than it was done. But it makes a great gift."

Another noted: "Great gift for someone. My only downside would be that there are places that you can get this cheaper."

The Lindt Lindor Truffle Ball is available for £12 on Amazon or directly from Lindt. For those seeking alternative chocolate delights, Hotel Chocolat's Everything Sleekster, which boasts 44 signature chocolates, is currently retailing at £44.95. In contrast, Fortnum and Mason are offering a Milk Chocolate Selection box for £4 0.
