Debenhams electric blanket costs 4p to run and 'looks expensive' down from £110 to £35
by Kerri Ann Roper · DevonLiveAs the colder temperatures are here to stay, staying warm can be a real challenge, especially if you're spending a lot of time indoors and are worried about the costs of having the heating cranked up all the time. A really good option is investing in a heated throw, like the one on offer from Debenhams at the moment.
The Neo Waffle Shaped Heated Throw, in mid-grey, is reduced from £110 to just £35 now. It's soft and feels luxurious, made of fuzzy flannel on one side and fluffy sherpa on the reverse, meaning you get a double helping of cosy.
It has nine temperature settings and and auto shut off timer for added protection in case you forget to turn it off. To aid this, it has nine timer settings too. Even better, if you use it while watching telly and accidentally spill something on it, you can pop it in the washing machine, you just need to detach the digital control and check the instructions carefully on how to wash and dry it.

The controller has an LED display so you can see the control settings easily, and with a quick heat-up function, you'll be toasty in no time. It is cost-effective to run too, coming in at just 4p per hour, so that's an added bonus.
One five-star review on Debenhams said: "Absolutely fantastic heated throw, much better than the more expensive one I bought my Mom last year, very fluffy and warm even before you switch it on, perfect size for lying under on the sofa, it’s that warm we’ve only had to switch it on a couple of times so far! We chose the blue and it’s beautiful, looks really expensive, will make a lovely gift, perfect for an older relative for a bit of extra warmth this winter."
There aren't many other product-specific reviews, but Neo as a brand has some reviews on Trustpilot and people have said various things. One person wrote: "Easy online ordering, good price and very fast delivery. Haven’t used product yet as it’s a gift, but I’m sure the recipient will be pleased." Someone who bought a dual electric blanket said: "Very happy with my purchase makes bed warm and toasty was a quick delivery."
Some customers had gripes, with one pointing out that they were missing info for a product they bought, saying: "No guarantee explained or how long for!!" Another complained that the workbench they purchased "wasn't as robust as I expected".
Heated throws have grown in popularity, so there are many options around to shop for. Lakeland has this Dreamland Zebra faux fur for £59.99 at the moment, or you can look at the Home one from Argos, for £33.33.
But given the double comfort on offer from the Debenhams offer, it seems like a good one offer to snap up now.
