Well, September has come to a close, my friends! We've been rounding up the most mind-boggling photos from Reddit to keep your brain in check. So, here are all the pics that left us scratching our heads a little too long. Let the confusion begin:
1. Is this half a person?
No, the person is standing behind the railing, and a hand fan is on top of the railing, but it matches the shirt perfectly, creating this illusion.
2. Which layer is on top?
The left-hand side is on top because you can see the material is slightly raised and casting a shadow on itself.
3. Yes, this is a dog's head...but what is going on?
In the photo, the dog's head was turned to the side, and its ear was flopped over. So, in the pic above, you're looking at the inner part of one of its ears.
4. This is not a slice of cake. What is it?
Someone's cheap charger burned their bed!!!
5. These are little gifts for a baptism, so, despite looking inappropriate, they are not. What are they?
They are candles!
6. Are these tiny creatures drinking from a glass?

Leave it to Reddit user u/John_Helmsword to explain, "Just has a dirty ass camera. It’s horizontally smudging all light. You can do the same thing by wiping grease on your camera horizontally across the lens. The light is being stretched. Same thing is happening to the street light above, horizontally barred across the top of the screen. It’s causing all the small reflections on the car to smudge, too. Like astigmatism."

If you thought someone's kid passed out on the floor, you're wrong. It is a blanket and a brownish-red toy or clothing that sort of looks like a sleeping toddler.

It is just one cat with one tail! People are still confused on Reddit (as am I), with some thinking what looks like the lower tail is the big part of its back leg. What do you think?

No, their skin just matches the rope pretty well. Their fingers are hidden behind whatever the rope is on.
14. Who is hugging who here?
The guy in the back is hugging the guy in the front. Their necks look small because their shirt is popping up, making their shoulders look higher than they actually are.
15. Why does this person look so giant?
The person is walking a rope in the foreground, and that's why they look so huge.

Nope! The sun's shadow makes it look like it is the bill of the hat, though.
17. Are these actual children hanging on display?
No, but it could be an idea for Halloween?? This was a display for kids' clothing in a store, and those are mannequins.

The dog does not have a disconnected jaw; its tongue perfectly blends with the person's hand.
