Elon Musk Just Unveiled His New Flying Car To The World, And The Internet's Reaction Has Me GENUINELY Speechless

When I was a little kid, I watched Back to the Future and wondered whether we'd ever develop the technology for flying cars in my lifetime. But then I grew up and realized that if people already struggled to DRIVE between the lines, what would happen when they could just FLY wherever they wanted in that big blue sky of ours? Let's just say it made me WAY less excited about the possibility. Well...
In case you haven't heard, Tesla x SpaceX just unveiled their newest invention: a flying car. Yup, you read that right. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just one second. And there's more. Using compressed air — the same technology they use with rockets — the car can flip, fly, and even follow a road upside down, seemingly defying gravity.

The Roadster version will cost $50,000 just to reserve, while a similar version equipped with thrusters will cost you a whopping quarter of a million dollars to reserve. And the flying car, you ask? Well, that one's available for purchase by "invitation only." Because apparently, having a quarter of a million dollars lying around isn't exclusive enough.

And while I could keep writing about it, you really have to see it to believe what it can do. So check out this video and prepare to have some questions.

And while plenty of people admit that, yes, a flying car is pretty cool (in theory), after reading HUNDREDS of comments online, it seems there's a clear consensus: People aren't thrilled about what this invention could mean for our future. And honestly, some of their concerns are making me rethink the whole flying-car thing. Here's what people are saying:
