Other times it's totally fine! Especially when you can tell they are in a relationship with a woman they love and respect, which makes them a better person. To the untrained mind, it can be hard to differentiate between the kind of dude who makes conversation feel hostile and the green flags. Luckily, @bkharthun recently made a video to help the masses spot some signs that a guy is in a relationship.

Brenden, aka Toon, has been with his wife since they were in ninth grade, and he was recently reflecting on how their 13-year relationship has shaped him.

"I started thinking about all the random little products, habits, and things I've picked up over the years that probably immediately give away that I'm in a relationship," Toon told BuzzFeed. "I also just now can notice these things in public with others I see because of my experience, and when any of my guy friends get into a relationship."

His video has garnered nearly 3 million views, over 310,000 likes, and a whooooole lotta comments, which is how you know this list is *chef's kiss*. Here are the five ways Toon says you can tell a guy is in a relationship:

1. "Owala water bottle. If I see a guy out in the wild, and they have an Owala water bottle, I'm almost 100% certain that a girl bought that for them."

"Specifically, a black Owala," someone added in the comments.

Toon added that single guys tend to use "beat up aluminum water bottles" or protein shakers instead. In the comments, people were also pointing out the dedication single straight men have to those gigantic reusable gallon water bottles, which is so true! What's up with that??? Why do they love those so much???

2. "If I see a guy drinking an Alani, I know that his wife or girlfriend put him on to it," Toon said.

3. Toon's third sign: "An actual skincare routine."

"If a guy's got cleanser, he's got moisturizer, maybe some sunscreen, there's definitely some female influence in there," Toon added. And, yeah, I agree. If a guy is using a bar of soap or his 37-in-1 body wash on his face and calling it a day, chances are he's got Hinge on his phone, too.

4. "Decorative stuff in his apartment. Candles, plants, throw pillows, blankets. If you walk into a guy's apartment, and they don't have a TV on an upside-down laundry bin, there's a girlfriend there."

5. Toon's final list item — nice travel stuff. "If he's got matching luggage, he's got a toiletry bag instead of a Ziploc bag, there's definitely some girlfriend influence," he said.
