Now, he's putting that philosophy into practice with one specific suggestion for parents — and it's going viral for all the wrong reasons.

On X, Altman wrote: "cool use case of chatgpt work I heard last night: connect your family calendars and explain your kids' interests. every morning for the drive to school, have it make a podcast that talks about one kid's soccer game that afternoon, one kid's upcoming birthday, some news, etc."
Rather, people found it to be pretty "evil" — if not "deeply sociopathic." First things first, many raised what they viewed as serious privacy concerns:
Others were less outraged than they were baffled. "What on earth would an LLM-generated podcast have to say about some child's soccer game?" one person asked.
Most people couldn't fathom why AI should be involved in something as intimate and fundamental as talking to their own children, with one commenter going so far as to call it "the worst use case for AI in the history of the world."
With over 200K likes, the top reply came from Alex Hirsch, the creator of Disney's animated series Gravity Falls. In just 8 words, he cut to the heart of the issue: "What if you just talked to your children"
