Angelina Jolie’s “Scribble” Handwriting Is Going Super Viral — And People Think It’s A “Skill Issue” If You Can’t Read This

You know Angelina Jolie. But do you know what her handwriting looks like?

If the answer to that question was no, you're in luck, because a thank-you note allegedly written by the Hollywood star is currently going very, very viral.

For context, the note in question was seemingly written for the staff at the Aldemar Olympian Village, a 5-star resort in Skafidia, Greece, where Angelina reportedly stayed while filming Maria, the 2024 Maria Callas biopic. The thank-you note was apparently shared on the luxury resort's Facebook page in October 2023, and looks like this:

Now, if you're wondering what it says, then you wouldn't be the only one. Right now, the resurfaced note is going viral on X alongside a headline that says: "Jolie's 'thank-you' at the Ilia hotel that no one can read." The post currently has over 8.4 million views, and it seems many of those users are genuinely struggling to decipher what the words say.

"I can't deal with these scribbles, oh my god," one user wrote, while others described the writing as "atrocious," "wild," and "difficult" to understand.

However, amid the jokes, plenty of other people can easily read the words — and think that the viral reaction is indicative of a generational divide.

"It’s a little rough but I can in fact read it," read one X post with over 63,000 likes. "If you know cursive you can figure it out." Someone else asked, "am i showing my age when i say i can read this?"

This wouldn't be the first time that Angelina's unique handwriting has left people baffled. But I'm dying to know where you stand on this! Can you read the note at a first glance? Or did it take a little longer?

For the record, this is what the note actually says: "Thank you for a restful stay at your beautiful resort. The 'Maria' cast had a lovely time here. With love, Angelina Jolie."
