“I’m Not Going To Sacrifice Onions For Any Man” – 21 Specific Reasons Women Ended It With A Guy
by Benjamin Dzialdowski · BuzzFeedThere are a LOT of reasons why women may not take kindly to a man, but sometimes there's a certain pet peeve, or something highly specific or ridiculous that becomes the straw that breaks the camel's back.
So when Zuckerberg880 asked r/AskReddit, "Women, whats the most ridiculous reason you've ever decided you didn't like a man?" We thought we'd share some of the top responses.
1. “He smelled like my dad, pretty sure using the same cologne. Which, yeah, I could’ve just asked him to switch colognes. But once I associated him with my dad, I knew that was it.”
2. “We went on our first date, and on the way, he was blasting dubstep and doing this dance thing with his fingers. He kept saying, ‘Imagine how cool it is when I have my light gloves on!’ The date itself was very nice, and I hope I never forget it, but I couldn’t get over the drive there.”
3. "He said Edna Mode should’ve been cut from The Incredibles."
4. "He was too good looking and I didn’t believe he could possibly actually be into me. I was an idiot."
5. "He told me that I would’ve been married a long time ago if I had nicer legs."
6. "I didn't like his voice and couldn't imagine listening to it long-term."
7. "We went out for ice cream. He scraped the metal spoon against his teeth with every single bite. Fucking psychopath."
8. "I didn’t like the way he was cutting his chicken."
9. "I dumped a guy because he didn't like onions. I love food, I love to cook, I'm not going to sacrifice onions for any man."
10. "He didn’t like listening to music in the car."
11. "His name was Tyler but he wanted to be called Ty. His dog was Skokie. His kids names all ended in some form of 'ie' or 'ey'. I couldn’t handle it."
12. "When we kissed, he tasted like iron."
13. "I’m a photographer and illustrator and he called me a 'content creator'."
14. “Kept seeing this guy at a million different events, and I couldn’t get out of my head how gorgeous he was."
"He looked like an old boyfriend of mine, but way hotter and much more my type, even than that boyfriend was. Finally, one day, we were at the same place again, and someone introduced us. When he shook my hand, it was like a limp fish. I’ve seen him a few times since, and I don’t find him remotely attractive. Like, it feels like seeing an old cousin I never really liked and would rather avoid.”
15. "Couldn’t get his head around adding 00 to the end of a number of pounds gives you the number of pence."
16. "His stubble irritated my skin. Asked him if he could either shave before our dates or let it grow a bit longer. I thought that was a reasonable ask, he didn't like the idea of changing his shaving schedule."
17. “Everyone’s reasons sound reasonable. Mine is ‘second toe longer than big toe’, and I feel like an ass.”
18. “On our first date, we went walking by a lake, and he slipped on a wet green rock and fell in. I could not unsee it.”
19. “He told me he didn’t like mayo, and it grossed him out to even see others eat it. I don’t know why, but it was this weird deal-breaker I never knew I had until I thought about a life with no mayo in the fridge.”
20. "He only liked sweet wine."
21. "Too big of a penis, thing was like a tree trunk!"
