Tate McRae Is Being Dragged For Seemingly Pretending To Use The Drugstore Products In A Sponsored Skincare Video, And I’m Dying To Know Her Thought Process
In the TikTok, which was in collaboration with Neutrogena, Tate demonstrates her "post show routine" on a plane, showing off the brand's makeup remover wipes, Hydro Boost moisturizer, and under-eye patches. The only issue? It doesn't look like she actually uses all the products.
At the start of the clip, Tate appears to be wearing makeup. She makes the motion of wiping away her eye makeup with the Neutrogena wipe, but — you guessed it — it doesn't look like anything actually comes off her face.
Then, with what appears to be a full face of makeup still intact, Tate moves on to use the moisturizer. I've watched the video frame-by-frame, and it's hard to tell if she actually has any of the product on her fingertips when she goes to — very gently — wipe it onto her cheeks.
The one product she definitely seems to use is the under-eye patches. However, it looks like she still has some makeup on her face, so the patches are hardly going to have the full effect.
Hilariously, it's reminding people of the time that Millie Bobby Brown was accused — and owned up to — doing the same thing. (Except that instance was worse because it was a video promoting her own skincare brand, LOL).

Obviously, we can't be 100% sure that Tate didn't actually use the wipes or moisturizer on her own face, but here's a side-by-side of her before and after the so-called "post show routine." (Left is from the very start of the video, right is from the end.)
