This 49-Year-Old Mom Is Going Viral For Sharing Exactly What She Did To Look Decades Younger

Back in May, TikToker @glengirlxo started gaining attention on the platform for sharing details of her experience having facial work done outside the US.

As a 49-year-old mother of two, Elizabeth decided to get a facelift after losing 80 pounds. "My face really took the brunt of it. It literally looked like it was melting, and it was incredibly distressing every time I passed by a mirror. I was looking at this old, haggard, tired woman that didn't match how I felt inside and my energy levels...and it was just really distressing," she starts in her viral TikTok.

"So, I went on an exhaustive research campaign over the span of many months, and I narrowed down my list of surgeons to six, three in the US and three in Mexico, and I interviewed with all of them before deciding on Dr. Valdez, and I'm very grateful to him for taking me on as a patient," she says, sharing that he is based in Cancun, Mexico.

"I did a deep, plain face, neck, and temple lift with a little back wrap under my eyes and on my cheeks, and I couldn't be happier with my results. I wanted a very natural aesthetic, which is what Dr. Valdez is known for, and I think he accomplished that really well, and he took 20 years off. Can't believe it."

She has also added her thoughts about getting facial work done in general, sharing, "I kept hearing that getting a facelift is not going to change your self-esteem, that it's not going to make your life better, that you're not going to be a different person. Now I feel a lot better. My self-esteem is a lot higher. I feel like I got my life back, my face back, my identity back. Maybe that's not the case for everybody, it's not going to solve all your problems, but I sure feel a lot better."

Elizabeth is one of many people on TikTok who have gained attention from getting facial work done outside the US. Just last year, a 51-year-old woman named Michelle Wood not only went viral for her incredible results but also for saving tens of thousands of dollars in the process.

People have been praising Elizabeth for continuing to be open about the whole process and for answering questions in the comments.

The most common question people have had is about pricing, so she shared her cost breakdown transparently. "$9,500 includes deep plain face, neck, and temporal lift with fat graft under your eyes and to your cheeks. It includes an overnight stay in the hospital in a private room with a private nurse. It includes all of your pre-op appointments with cardiology, EKGs, blood work, all of your testing, and all of your appointments with Dr. Valdez, pre- and post-op. It includes all of your medications, concierge nursing at your hotel, and all of your transportation to your appointments, and to and from the airport."

At the end of the day, people are also obviously blown away by her results.
