Most recently, one out-of-control fire was discovered between Stave Lake and Chehalis Lake on Sunday.
It currently measures 0.4 hectares in size and is believed to be human-caused.
Additionally, there are two out-of-control blazes on Vancouver Island, one just east of Ladysmith and another fire northwest of Parksville.
The largest wildfire in the Coastal Fire Centre, currently 53 hectares in size, is located near Highway 1, about 50 kilometres north of Hope.
It is being held and not believed to grow.
BCWS says that the wildfire season is already underway despite it being only early May.
Since April 1, there have already been 109 blazes, which Fire Information Officer Karley Desrosiers tells 1130 NewsRadio is “pretty standard for this time of year.”
“We do generally see a spike in fires through the month of April and early May, that’s kind of two-fold,” she told 1130 NewsRadio.
The service is also monitoring drought levels, which it says contribute to major blazes in the province’s interior.
Most of that land is classified by federal drought monitors to be “abnormally dry” and “severe drought.”
