Andrew Shue Reveals He Is Engaged To Marilee Fiebig Days After Their Exes Amy, T.J. Holmes' Wedding

Actor Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are going through one of the best phases of their lives. In a new interview, the actor revealed that he is engaged to the immigration attorney. Interestingly, the news of their engagement comes after their exes, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, tied the knot in a private ceremony.

Andrew Shue opens up about his engagement to Marilee Fiebig

In an interview with PEOPLE, Andrew Shue confirmed that he and Marilee Fiebig got engaged in the spring of 2026. The pair had been dating for three years. Andrew said, “I don't know how it happened, but there's a happy ending.”

Andrew and Marilee’s love story garnered attention in recent years after their ex-spouses and former ABC3 colleagues, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, became romantically involved back in November 2022. At the time, both couples were separated and eventually went on to get divorced.

After their months-long romance was exposed, Robach and Holmes were ousted from GMA3 in January 2023. A network spokesperson told Page Six at the time that it was “best for everyone” that they “move on” after the scandal. Since the scandal exploded, Robach and Holmes have maintained that they did not cheat on their former spouses with each other. In December 2023, Holmes said:

“To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers — being outed as cheating on our spouses — and it wasn’t the case.”

Months after the divorce, Andrew and Marilee grew close. They started off as friends and soon fell in love. After their engagement, Andrew said that they are very grateful and hopeful. In another twist, last week, on September 19, 2026, Andrew and Marilee’s former spouses, Roboach and Holmes, got married privately in Arkansas.

Speaking about Andrew, he has recently been focused on The Forum, which is an ambitious grassroots initiative that helps bring Americans together from across the political divide to give them a voice in the legislative process. He admitted that it is one thing to work on projects that they think can help people change the world. But he believes that the most important project is one’s family and building a foundation for their kids. In addition to this, it is also about creating a home and showing them a loving relationship. He said:

“So I had to accept my own part in marriage not working out for me and in not understanding myself well enough and not understanding what matters in a relationship well enough to find the right person for me, and that has been an extraordinary gift. Again, I don’t know how it happened, but I can say I’m grateful.”

Andrew claimed that he had to grow through a lot of pain, struggle, and humility. However, he shared that the magic of love is when “you go from a need to giving.” He added:

“You don’t know how you meet the person who’s right for you. It just happened. And you can say how it’s just this kind of freak luck that this is how you ended up getting to know that person in a way that would allow you to reveal yourself and for her to reveal herself.”

Andrew Shue confessed that he just happened to find the circumstance that allowed for that. According to him, he and Marilee shared themselves with each other at a time when they both needed a friend.
