Carrie Underwood faced backlash for her Mar-a-Lago appearance

Carrie Underwood attended an event paying tribute to country music icon Dolly Parton, who passed away in August 2026. She attended the CMA Presents: Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton, on October 21, 2026. She chose a strapless pale pink and white ballgown, which was adorned with floral embroidery and sparkling detailing.

Social media was abuzz with their thoughts on Carrie's changed look, as they labeled her 'frightening'. Many wondered why Carrie was part of the show, as her political opinions differed from Dolly. Many even joked that Carrie used a lot of bronze complexion products and said, "They went through a lot of orange spray paint at this event."

Another user wrote, "The Mar-a-Lago face coming in strong for Carrie Underwood." Another pointed out, "Carrie is MAGA! She has no business in a Dolly celebration. Dolly represented love. MAGA is hateful."

Amid a lot of judgment about Carrie's look, many expressed that she looked fine and her face hasn't changed much. Vanity Fair also wrote on Carrie's recent look, highlighting her high brows and cartoonishly inflated lips, with frozen-looking skin and eyes appearing as if they are pulled sideways and upward. But it couldn't be determined if Carrie underwent a cosmetic treatment.

A doctor named Gizem Seymenoglu shared their thoughts on Carrie's look with Express U.S. She told the outlet that the singer's brows appeared more elevated. He suggeted that it could be due to Botox around the outer eye area. He added that Carrie's naturally fuller look might be due to biostimulatory injectables, which work gradually and allow the skin to produce more collagen. The doctor even suggested that she had taken skin-tightening treatments.

Talking about the event, her closing performance received a standing ovation; people loved her during the performance and called her a perfect pick to conclude the show. Carrie also expressed her admiration for Dolly. Carrie called Dolly a 'Dear Friend' and praised her compassion, kindness, and generosity. She said:

"If you ask me to talk about one artist that I want to be like, not just in music or voice or not just in any one area, I would choose Dolly Parton."

For the unversed, Carrie was booed by the audience during American Idol season 24. She took to her social media, X, and slammed people for booing her. She was booed due to her reaction to a contestant singing an original song. Carrie wrote:

"Boo me. I don't care @americanidol. You guys are gonna boo me. You're gonna boo me. It's coming. Bring it on. I love it! Your boos are feeding me."

Talking about Carrie's personal life, she is married to Mike Fisher. The couple has been together for 15 years. The American Idol winner and former NHL star met in 2008 and got married in 2010. They felt an instant connection and decided to spend their life together because they could feel a chemistry. They share two children, Isaiah and Jacob, whom they welcomed in 2015 and 2019, respectively.
