Rod Stewart's Third Wife Caught Him Cheating On Her, He Called Other Woman His Daughter's Friend

Rock legend Rod Stewart left everyone shocked by announcing his retirement. He also revealed that he would be embarking on a final tour next year, in 2027, and it would be his last one. He has been singing since he was 19 years old and has had the privilege of exploring the world. Amidst it, Rod's personal life has become a point of discussion, especially due to the fact that he cheated on his third wife, who is 26 years younger than him. 

Rod Stewart's third wife, Penny Lancaster, caught him cheating on her with another woman

Once, Penny talked about discovering a photo of Rod with another woman in 1999. Rod has been known for his long line of relationships over the years and for having eight children with five different women. In 2017, Penny revealed that she always wanted to be the 'last one' in Rod's life. She just didn't want to be a girlfriend but 'the girlfriend'.

However, Penny's hopes were broken when she caught him cheating on her after she found a photograph of him with another woman. However, in his defense, Rod claimed that it was his daughter's friend, but she warned him and said goodbye. She said:

"I remember finding a photograph of him with another woman, and he went: 'Oh, but it was my daughter's friend.' And I said: 'I warned you – bye, bye'."

Later, Rod also talked about Penny's explosive statement about catching him cheating on her with a photograph. He claimed that it happened 20 years ago, and it was the only incident, and after that things had been wonderful between them. He said:

"You're talking a long time ago, 20-odd years ago. There was one dalliance, yeah. But otherwise we've been together, and it's been wonderful and everything."

Rod claimed that Penny clearly told him that she was the only woman he was going to be with and no one else, as she was not sharing him. Since then, the couple has been going strong. Over the years, he found out what an amazing woman he got married to. 

Rod Stewart's marriages and affairs

Rod had a number of relationships and affairs over the years. He had eight children with different mothers. His first child was born from his one-year affair with art student Susannah Boffey before he had affairs with models. Later, he got married to actress Alana Stewart. The ex-couple were blessed with two children. 

After five years of being married, the couple parted ways. The singer had cheated on Alana with model Kelly Emberg. He also had a child, and their relationship lasted for three years. He then got married a second time to model Rachel Hunter in 1990. The exes welcomed two children before parting ways in 1999 and got divorced in 2006.

It was his second wife, Rachel, who left him. In 2007, he gave love another chance and got married to Penny Lancaster. In his autobiography, Rod talked about his affairs and cheating during his marriages. He stated that it was purely about sex. He talked about cheating on his first wife with Kelly and called it horrible behavior. 

Rod accepted that he was ashamed of cheating and how it still haunts him to the point that he cannot mention it in his book. He stated that there was a 'little demon' in his head. However, in his book, he mentioned that he was faithful to his second wife, but they parted ways as she was too young.
