Chumbak premiered on Netflix on September 10, 2026. The new series has managed to bring back the memories of some old TV shows that audiences remember until today. With an ensemble cast, Chumbak has emerged as one of the most unique shows so far compared to other originals released on the streaming platform in 2026.
Chumbak is already trending among the top ten most-watched shows on Netflix. With more episodes scheduled to arrive soon, viewers are eager to know what exactly happens at the end of Episode 8.
‘Ruhaan’ goes missing, leading to a chaotic situation
The eighth episode of Chumbak keeps its focus on two parallel mysteries. ‘Kuku’ is in a panic because his clothes have vanished, while ‘Twinkle’ tries to lighten the mood with a story about her father, ‘Nari Ravjiani,’ once firing at guests during a party, which he justifies by saying they refused to leave.
The tone shifts when ‘Vedant’ walks in and announces that ‘Ruhaan’ is missing. He hands ‘Priyanka’ a letter ‘Ruhaan’ left behind. ‘Priyanka’ is immediately distressed, especially because ‘Aditya’ seems strangely calm about his own son leaving the house. She goes to ‘Rajni’ for support. ‘Rajni’ takes charge, telling everyone to stay positive while she goes out to look for ‘Ruhaan.’
Some family members want to involve the police, but the cops refuse to file a missing complaint for a teenager who left a note. Back at home, the anxiety grows. ‘Freddy’ and others start discussing kidnapping cases in front of ‘Priyanka,’ which makes her even more worried. Then ‘Ruhaan’ suddenly walks back in on his own.
The twist is revealed by ‘Aditya’ as he knew where ‘Ruhaan’ was all along. ‘Ruhaan’ had gone to meet a lawyer named ‘Mandar,’ and ‘Aditya’ had promised to keep it secret. ‘Ruhaan’ then hands his mother a legal notice, telling her to agree to his terms or meet him in court. Meanwhile, ‘Twinkle’ calls ‘Vishnusharman’ to inform her that ‘Ruhaan’ is back, while her father, ‘Nari,’ is still at the police station trying to get them to take action.
The other big reveal comes from ‘Kiran.’ ‘Tillottama’ tells her she once found a swimsuit in a garbage bag ‘Kiran’ had given her. This triggers ‘Kiran’s’ memory, as ‘Rajni’ had mentioned seeing ‘Mickey’ in the jacuzzi with a girl in a swimsuit, and ‘Kiran’ herself had found ‘Dharmendra’ in the bathroom with wet trousers. She starts connecting the dots.
‘Hutoxi’ finishes narrating Chapter Eight, and she is questioned about what happens next, about ‘Kuku’s’ fraud against ‘Rajni’, about ‘Rajni’ and ‘Ronit’s’ future, and whether ‘Mickey’ was trapped by ‘Kiran’ or managed to escape. Before answering, ‘Hutoxi’ begins reading Chapter Nine, leaving Episode 8 on a cliffhanger.
