On April 24, Deputy Minister for Construction U Myo Myint inspected the hospital project in Lanmadaw Township, Yangon Region, along with ongoing works at the Diamond Jubilee Hall of Yangon University, including the entrance road, drainage system, platforms, and landscaping.

During the visit to the hospital site, the Chief Engineer (Construction) outlined progress on civil, water, and electrical works, as well as the transfer of construction materials from JICA and overall implementation status. The Director General of the Building Department, along with the Rector and Hospital Superintendent of Yangon General Hospital, also provided updates.

He called for close supervision to ensure proper execution and timely completion, noting that the facility will provide advanced treatment for heart and neurological patients once finished. He also urged coordination with the Ministry of Health to complete the project on schedule.

The Deputy Minister and his team then inspected works at Yangon University’s Diamond Jubilee Hall, including concrete paving at the entrance, drainage and platform construction, road markings, and landscaping. Officials were instructed to ensure proper landscaping around the entrance and iron gate and to carry out road works in accordance with established standards.
