Don’t Mess About With CMAT’s Fry-Up
by Bethy Squires · VULTUREMore Saturday Night Live U.K. means more Fouracres. Mouracres. For those not in the know, innit though, SNL U.K. does these delightful minisketches, “45 Seconds With Fouracres,” that barely have a premise but do have a lot of shouting. It’s the closest either SNL gets to the monologues perfected by Kids in the Hall. In them, George Fouracres yells directly at the camera about …something. One time it was Irish grandfathers, once it was a song from the perspective of a fruit vendor who doesn’t believe Jeffrey Epstein killed himself. This time, it’s the sheer terror of having CMAT over for a fry-up, but you’re out of black pudding. Obviously, it ends in a lightsaber battle. This is a very relatable sketch for audiences in the U.K. and America. Here’s to another 45 seconds of Fouracres.
