Trucks fitted with video beams drive through New York showing scenes emblematic of life of Serbs in Kosovo

The Serbian diaspora in the United States on Monday launched a campaign that coincides with the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. It is aimed at raising awareness about the conditions in which Serbs in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija live.

Speaking on behalf of the Serbian diaspora in the US, Alex Mitrovic told Tanjug that the goal is to draw the attention of numerous officials visiting the city for the UN General Assembly to the life of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija.

"I want to note that this is not a political campaign, but on the contrary, a humanitarian and, above all, a patriotic one," Mitrovic said.

The organizer is the Serbian diaspora in the US.

Trucks displaying imagery showing how Serb people live in Kosovo and Metohija have so far passed through the most important streets in New York City.

Scenes from the March 2004 Pogrom are among them, as well as the wounded Serb boy Stefan Stojanovic from in Gotovusa, who was shot by Azem Kurtaj on Orthodox Christmas Day 2023.

There are also scenes from the protests of Serb doctors in the southern province, held in May and June of this year, the unjustified arrests of Serbs, as well as the messages of support for US President Donald Trump displayed in Belgrade.
