One dead, another injured in Auckland workplace accident

One person is dead and another seriously injured following a workplace accident in Auckland.

Emergency services were called to Buckley Systems in Mt Wellington at around 1.45pm on Thursday.

Three ambulances and two rapid response units were sent to the facility.

At the time, Buckley Systems said police and Worksafe have both been notified and a thorough investigation ws underway.

The company manufactures electro-magnets.

Hato Hone St John said it treated one patient in a serious condition at the scene and they were taken to Auckland Hospital.
