ILLIT’s Wonhee appears as special MC on 'Amazing Saturday,' replacing DAY6’s Young K
by Demian09 · allkpopOn the May 2 broadcast of tvN’s 'Amazing Saturday,' the show aired a special “language school” themed episode, bringing a playful classroom concept to the studio.
The episode also featured a notable change in the lineup as ILLIT’s Wonhee stepped in as a special MC, replacing DAY6’s Young K due to his absence from his regular hosting duties.
Comedian Kim Dong Hyun made a humorous entrance dressed in a teacher-like outfit alongside Moon Se Yoon and Nucksal, declaring, “We are the teaching staff of the language school. I am Teacher 1.” Nucksal jokingly responded by insisting, “I am the class president,” while Moon Se Yoon playfully added to the banter, saying he was “teaching Kim Dong Hyun,” further elevating the comedic atmosphere.
Host Boom then officially introduced the special MC, stating, “We have a special MC joining us today. Taking over for Young K, who is away for his main activities, ILLIT’s Wonhee will be with us.” This marked Wonhee’s appearance as a stand-in MC for DAY6’s Young K.
Wonhee described her concept for the episode as “a student studying abroad in the 'Amazing Saturday' language school.” Fellow cast member P.O. commented on her appearance, saying, “You’ve lost more weight,” expressing surprise at her changed look compared to her previous appearance. Boom also asked, “You’ve lost quite a bit of weight, haven’t you?”
Wonhee responded positively, explaining, “I think it’s because I just turned 20, and it feels like it’s a natural time for my body to change.” When P.O reacted in surprise, saying, “You’re already 20?”, Wonhee confidently replied, showcasing her energetic presence as she embraced her role as the special MC.
