"My name is Moon Ga Bi: A woman who wants to conquer the world!"
This phrase perfectly encapsulates the confident persona of Moon Ga Bi, a standout fashionista and media personality. Armed with English proficiency that surpasses that of many native speakers, Moon Ga Bi has traveled the world, crafting her unique universe. She explained, “The name Gabi (嘉庇) means ‘cover the world with beauty.’ Wherever I go, I’m ready to make my mark and take over. My dream is to become a globally loved woman who can influence and shake the world with her power. I want to captivate the world with my own charm.”
Here’s a closer look at Moon Ga Bi’s lifestyle, revealed through an Alphabetical framework:
Advantage
“I don’t think about my weaknesses. Instead, I focus on my strengths and strive to excel in the things I’m good at. I always think about the positive and focus on it. I am one of a kind in this world. Whatever I do, I consider all my efforts as strengths. I maintain a positive attitude no matter what.”
Boundary
“I’m always proactive and daring. While many women tend to be reserved, I am not. I believe in overcoming the limitations placed on women. Some may call it fearlessness, but for me, pushing boundaries and challenging limits is the motto of my life.”
Color
“I absolutely love gold. I won’t even glance at silver. I’m drawn to anything that sparkles. I also like green, and many of my clothes and belongings are green. Seeing gold and green excites me. It’s an instinctive preference I’ve had since childhood. If I see a green bag with gold handles, I’ll buy it without hesitation.”
Dream
"I’ve always had many dreams since I was young. I wanted to be a veterinarian, a dancer, a flutist—once I get hooked on something, I have to pursue it. Right now, I’m hooked on modeling. My dream is to become a model who introduces Korea to the world and inspires others with energy through my work."
Easy
"I’m not a complicated person—I’m naturally optimistic. I lead a simple and relaxed life. It’s just who I am. If I see a country I want to visit on TV, I book a ticket right away. Even if I don’t speak the language, it doesn’t bother me; I’ll learn as I go. When I travel abroad, I tend to stay for a long time. I’m deeply interested in the culture and history of each place, so I often rent a home and live like a local. Last year, I visited Cape Town, South Africa, and was completely captivated by its scenery and culture. If I go back, I plan to stay for an extended period."
Future
"I don’t worry about the past. I believe the future is more important than the present. If you vividly imagine your future, it can come true. The person I am today is the result of the future I envisioned in the past. I believe that before long, I’ll be someone who uses my unique charm and strengths to bring hope to people around the world."
Go with the Flow
"This is one of my favorite phrases—it’s a life motto for me. If things don’t go as planned, I just let them flow naturally." (Laughs)
Health
"I exercise not to lose weight, but for my health. Starving yourself for a diet is extremely harmful. Waiting for the weight to just fall off is, in my opinion, foolish. I eat all the foods I enjoy without restrictions, but I make sure to exercise consistently. Even 10 minutes a day for a year can help you achieve both health and fitness goals. You have to be diligent. Personally, I exercise two hours every night before bed and stop eating five hours before I sleep. A healthy and beautiful body isn’t something that comes easily."
Irreplaceable
"There is nothing in this world that can replace me. I am one of a kind, and that’s why I love myself. My favorite word is ‘happiness.’ I am always a positive person and keep negativity at a distance. Everything in life is joyful and happy—and it should be. I don’t see, hear, or pay attention to the unpleasant things that happen in daily life. I only focus on the good, and that brings more good things into my life." (Laughs)
“A woman should carry herself with the mindset and attitude of a queen. That’s how she’ll be treated like one. Treat yourself like a queen and cherish yourself. Others will see you that way too.”
Currently, a model who is making waves, Moon Ga Bi emphasizes that self-love and self-care are the keys to being loved by others. She also noted that by loving oneself, one naturally learns to care for and cherish others. While she is brimming with confidence and boldness, she balances it with generosity and consideration for those around her.
Journey
"I’m 28 years old. It hasn’t been a long journey in life, but these 28 years have been so much fun, and I’ve never had a dull day. I’m even more excited about what lies ahead in my life. It feels like there’s so much I can do, and that makes me even more curious about my future journey."
Kitchen
"I’m naturally gifted in cooking—I can make about 200 different dishes. My maternal and paternal grandmothers, as well as my mom, were all amazing cooks. If I have a boyfriend, I plan to use my own signature sauce to make him chicken gratin, and it might just be the best dish he’s ever tasted. Pasta? That’s easy for me to whip up. When I get married, I’ll be able to make anything my husband wants.
The kitchen is where bodies are made. What you eat determines how your body is built, which is why the kitchen is incredibly important for women."
Label
"I have a deep interest in clothing. Out of the five rooms in my home, three are dedicated to dressing rooms. For me, dressing rooms are more important than the bedroom. I don’t care about brands; what matters is what suits me.
For example, I still wear a black shirt I bought for 3,000 KRW (~2.16 USD) in middle school. The moment I saw it, I felt it was made for me. Even now, it feels like a magical piece of clothing. The key isn’t the brand—it’s whether it fits me and my style.
To truly appreciate clothing, you need passion, interest, and understanding. Because I know myself well, I don’t rely on a hairstylist or makeup artist. I style everything myself."
Main
"I’ve loved being at the center of things since I was a child. I’ve never been driven by competitiveness, rivalry, or jealousy—what mattered to me was being number one. If I have a rival, it’s only myself. I always see myself as the 'main character' in my future and my life."
Nature
"I absolutely love nature. People often say I have an urban image, but my inner self is quite different. I’ve traveled to many places, including the U.S., Europe, and Southeast Asia, and I’m especially drawn to destinations with beautiful beaches. I also love jungles.
Last year, I visited Cape Town, South Africa, and was completely captivated by its charm. Who knows, in three years, you might find me living in Cape Town!" (Laughs)
Opinion
"Having a clear opinion and strong convictions is essential in life. I’m someone who firmly expresses my beliefs. That doesn’t mean I lack the ability to communicate or empathize—I listen to others’ opinions and accept what makes sense. It’s all about balance."
Parents
"My father is cool and handsome, and my mother is sweet and feminine. I’ve inherited only the best traits from both of them." (Laughs)
"My father is sharp and highly responsible. My mother is like a glass cup—delicate, girlish, but also very charming. I owe everything I am today to my parents. In fact, my father is my ideal type." (Laughs)
Queen
"A woman should live like a queen and be treated like one. To do so, you must first love yourself. The way you treat yourself determines how others treat you. If you think of and treat yourself as a queen, others will naturally do the same."
“Half of life is a vacation. Work isn’t something you have to do; it’s something you want to do. Try living that way.”
This philosophy embodies Moon Ga Bi’s cute, sexy, and unique perspective on life. In her 28 years, she says she has never experienced boredom. She recommends embracing this mindset to everyone, especially women, encouraging them to join her in living life with warmth and confidence. It’s a philosophy that has no downsides, according to her.
Runway
"While living in the U.S., I started working as a model, thanks to my fluency in English, which allowed me to work internationally. I’ve worked primarily in cities like LA, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Tokyo. One of the charms of modeling is that it lets you travel while working.
I also have fond memories of Seoul Fashion Week this past March. I had the honor of opening and closing the Greedilous collection, which was a huge responsibility, but I enjoyed every moment of it. The response was great, so I’m already looking forward to participating in the next Fashion Week."
Style
"I style myself from head to toe. I don’t stick to one type of clothing, makeup, or hairstyle. I believe I can pull off anything, and I’m not afraid of transformations. What matters is looking natural and effortless. Even with the same outfit, I can create a different vibe—this is my unique styling ability."
Take Over
"My name, Ga Bi, means ‘cover the world with beauty.’ Wherever I go, I’m ready to make my mark and take over. My dream is to use my charm and beauty to positively influence the world."
Unique
"I love being called unique more than being described as cute or sexy. I’ve never thought of myself as traditionally beautiful, but I believe I have a lot of individuality. I see myself as unique and am always on the lookout for things that are one of a kind."
Vacation
"I think half of life is a vacation. I’ve never considered work something I have to do—it’s something I want to do. I enjoy my work so much that even a full day of shooting feels fun. I always think of work as a vacation. Because I love what I do, my life feels like an endless holiday. For me, working is as enjoyable as going on a trip."
Wisdom
"I constantly strive to become wiser. I write long journal entries every day to reflect on my day. I believe that when your inner self is fulfilled, your outer self becomes beautiful. Reading books inspires me and has a lasting impact for about a week. It’s incredibly motivating, and I feel like even my face looks brighter after I read a book because it fills me up inside. Recently, I enjoyed reading The Temperature of Language."
Xmas
"I like Christmas, but I don’t have any special memories of it yet. My parents always traveled during Christmas, so it wasn’t very fun for me. If I get the chance, I’d love to spend Christmas with my family and friends in a winter destination that isn’t too cold. For gifts, I’d want to give handwritten letters full of care and sincerity to my friends and also receive handwritten letters from them." (Laughs)
Young
"I don’t care about age or numbers—whether it’s my age or my weight. Numbers don’t mean much to me. I want to live my life feeling young. To do so, I believe I must stay physically and mentally healthy. Being around good people is also one of the secrets to a happy life. Traveling is a source of inspiration for me. It broadens my perspective and makes me feel even younger. When I look in the mirror, I remind myself to love and appreciate who I am. When you love yourself, your body, mind, and spirit all become beautiful, leading to a youthful and happy life."
Zodiac
"I’m a Scorpio. I heard this year’s horoscope for Scorpios is amazing." (Laughs)
"I believe in fate to some extent, and it feels like this year will be my year." (Laughs)
