Former member Ju Haknyeon draws attention with photo taken at The Boyz recent concert
by Janie-Reign · allkpopJu Haknyeon has attended The Boyz's concert in Seoul.
On an online forum, netizens reacted to a photo posted by Ju Haknyeon on his personal Instagram Story, showing a view from his seat at the final day of The Boyz' 2026 concert 'INTER-ZECTION' held at the KSPO Dome.
The photo showed nine members of The Boyz seated on stage during a ballad performance, with Q, Younghoon, Sunwoo, and Hyunjae visible on the large LED screen.
According to concert attendees, the show also featured several stages including member New, who was the only member to remain with their company One Hundred Label, while the rest suspended their contracts following a successful injunction.
Meanwhile, netizens expressed greater curiosity and surprise at Ju Haknyeon's presence at the concert, particularly because he voluntarily took a photo and posted it to confirm his attendance publicly.
While some onlookers commented that it is "probably good that the members appear to be still on good terms with Ju Haknyeon," others criticized that posting the photo was a "strange move" that could potentially "stir up unnecessary drama."
Some also questioned Ju Haknyeon's motives, speculating whether he is "attempting to gain public attention."
However, others noted that his departure from the group is already "old news," and that what is more at stake now is the uncertainty surrounding New's future involvement with The Boyz.
Furthermore, one comment even wondered if it would be possible for Ju Haknyeon to return to The Boyz if it was their former company One Hundred Label that decided to remove him from the group.
Meanwhile, former member Hwall also attended the concert, publicly posting photos taken with the members afterwards.
In related news, Ju Haknyeon opened up about his removal from the group in an interview with Billboard last December after being cleared of prostitution allegations.
Netizen reactions, which remain heavily divided, include:
"Huh?"
"Is he crazy? He seriously has no awareness."
"Looks like the members are on good terms with each other."
"Since the agency made him leave, maybe he could rejoin if he comes back."
"Fans would absolutely oppose it. Is he crazy to think about rejoining?"
"He probably didn’t go on his own money. If he was invited, he could post it, so why not?"
"Is he close with them?"
"He wasn’t in the right, but wasn’t the process of leaving kind of strange? It was weird how the agency kept talking without caring if it damaged the group’s image. Since things are at their worst with the agency now, well…"
"Still no awareness."
"The members can still be on good terms with each other."
"Even going there is wild, and posting proof of it too, seriously lol"
"They’re still close, huh."
"If he was invited, that’s seriously lacking awareness lol. Not thinking about the members until the end."
"A member probably invited him, so who’s the one lacking awareness?"
"I guess they don’t have to hide their friendships. Whether fans like it or not."
"No seriously, is he setting the members up? Fans are already uneasy."
"Isn’t New the bigger issue than him? It’s been a while for him anyway."
"I do think the process of him being removed was strange… Even when someone gets kicked out for scandals, they usually try to handle it quietly, but this company was kind of odd."
"Anyway, since he left, he’s not connected business wise anymore, so it’s fine."
"I heard another former member went too, not just him."
"Isn’t he still close with the members?"
"I heard another former member went too, not just him."
"The members probably have no issues and are still very close. It was an invited seating section."
"The members were the ones who gave out the limited tickets in the first place, so what’s the problem?"
"Yeah, the members can stay friends, but let’s not make it obvious. Idol scandals like that aren’t it. He should have some awareness."
"They probably don’t know when they’ll hold another concert, so it seems like they invited everyone, including him and Hwall lol"
"He can go if he wants… It was a scandal related departure, but it wasn’t really his choice. He was basically forced out."
"New performed at the concert, but it seems like they didn’t do some songs."
"Isn’t he the victim? Isn’t that company the strange one in the end?"
"He probably feels supportive, really upset, and regretful all at once… I don’t want to criticize something like that."
"Wait, but he still hasn’t removed The Boyz from his Instagram profile?"
"Kangin also always goes to Super Junior concerts. He probably just wants to watch the members perform."
"Why does this group have issues throughout their entire career? In many ways, they’re kind of a legendary group."
