‘Happy Together’ returns after 6 years with Yoo Jae Suk as MC
by Minsoo-Kim · allkpopKBS’s iconic variety show 'Happy Together' is set to return after six years, once again led by its signature MC Yoo Jae Suk.
On April 8 KST, KBS announced that the new program, ‘Happy Together – It's Great Because I'm Not Alone’, will premiere in July. The show marks the long awaited revival of ‘Happy Together,’ which aired from 2001 to 2020 and became one of Korea’s most beloved variety programs.
The reboot introduces a fresh concept as a storytelling music audition program centered on the idea of “togetherness.” Unlike conventional competitions, the show will focus on team based performances, allowing participants of any age, genre, or background to apply as long as they are not performing alone. Rather than pure vocal ability, the judging criteria will emphasize each team’s unique story and harmony.

Yoo Jae Suk will take on the role of main MC, bringing his renowned empathy and hosting skills to the show. Known for his ability to connect with guests, he is expected to draw out the stories behind each performance while adding his signature humor and warmth.
Participant applications are open from April 8 to May 31 through the official website, ahead of the show’s July premiere.
