BTS V's global fanbases light up Gwanghwamun area with large-scale comeback support projects
by YeontanNews · allkpopBTS has released their 5th full-length album “ARIRANG” on March 20 and they will hold the “BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG” performance the following evening, March 21, around Gwanghwamun Square. The concert will be broadcast live worldwide through Netflix.
Global fans of BTS member V are organizing large-scale support projects for his comeback stage, as he appears before fans as part of BTS for the first time in nearly four years.
Here’s a look at some of the projects lighting up Gwanghwamun area and other parts of Seoul in celebration of V's return:
- MASSIVE LUUX BILLBOARD
As the largest screen in Korea, the LUUX outdoor billboard measures an impressive 50 meters wide and 60 meters high, covering a total area of 3,000 square meters—roughly equivalent to 12 volleyball courts.
V’s celebratory video will be displayed on the LUUX billboard, located on the exterior wall of the Dong-A Media Center in Gwanghwamun, more than 70 times a day from 6 a.m. to midnight on March 21.
- MASSIVE DUAL SCREENS AT GWANGHWAMUN KT SQUARE
Located adjacent to Gwanghwamun Plaza and the Sejong Center, KT SQUARE’s massive dual screens occupy a prime spot in central Seoul. V’s video will be shown 140 times from March 20 to 21.
- 246 Digital Screens at Incheon International Airport
To take advantage of all the international fans traveling to Korea for BTS this month, 246 digital screens featuring V have been strategically placed along major passenger routes across Terminals 1 and 2 at Incheon International Airport.
- GWANGHWAMUN BUS SHELTER ADS
Celebratory videos of V will also be shown at bus shelters in front of the KT Building in Gwanghwamun, a high-traffic area with constant footfall.
- GWANGHWAMUN AREA BILLBOARDS & DIGITAL DISPLAYS
At Gwanghwamun Station in Seoul, celebratory videos marking V’s comeback will be broadcast on billboards and CM boards for two weeks, from March 8 to 22, reaching commuters and tourists passing through the station.
Many other large billboards featuring V’s image are also installed on buildings surrounding the area.
- OTHER PROJECTS
A large digital billboard on the parking tower of the Cheonggye Korea Building will also be illuminated with V’s visuals. In addition, two celebratory ads will run at the Korea Building in Cheonggye Plaza—one on the media display and another on the parking tower.
A full-page advertisement celebrating V’s return will also be featured in The Dong-A Ilbo, one of South Korea’s leading newspapers.
