Assam Rifles celebrates Foundation Day of Kohima Orphanage & Destitute Home

Dimapur, September 29: Assam Rifles, in its continued effort to support and uplift local communities, celebrated the Foundation Day of the Kohima Orphanage & Destitute Home with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Maj Gen Manish Kumar, who expressed his admiration for the tireless work being done by the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home for the underprivileged children of the region.

Speaking at the event, he emphasized the Assam Rifles’ longstanding commitment to societal welfare, particularly in reaching out to marginalized communities.

Assam Rifles distributed a wide range of books, clothing, monetary aid and essential items such as food supplies and daily utility items to the children, encouraging education and ensuring they are equipped with basic necessities for their well-being and growth.

In his address, Maj Gen Manish Kumar highlighted the importance of community support and collective efforts in providing these children with a nurturing environment.
