NNC (PB) clarifies its role on ‘Agreed Position’

Dimapur, September 20: In order to dispel any misinformation and prevent the spread of rumors, the NNC Parent Body (Parent Body) today clarified about its role as one of the Signatories under the Parent body of the NNPGs in the ‘Agreed Position’ signed on 17th November 2017 between GOI and WC, NNPGs.

It said the clarification aims to address any confusion within the Public domain and ensure accurate understanding of the aforementioned agreement.

The NNC Parent Body (PB) acknowledged the binding commitment for all the Signatories of the ‘Agreed position’.

“NNC Parent Body (PB), as a Signatory of the agreement, is committed to upholding and supporting the terms of the agreement until its full implementation,” it said in press release issued by Z Royim, president, NNC (PB) and Lt Gen Throngso, NNC (PB), Akiuba, Advisor to collective leadership and Akheho Achumi, Chairman, UT-I.

Despite the circulating rumors suggesting otherwise, the NNC Parent Body (PB) remains steadfast in its dedication to safeguarding and adhering to the agreement, it said adding the NNC stand unwavering in its protection of the ‘Agreed position’ and the NNC Parent Body is a key Stakeholder and will remain so, always.

It said the NNC may have internal differences but these should not be a cause for concern as they are part of the party’s internal affairs. Disregarding the ‘Agreed Position’ by the NNC is not a possibility, and does not undermine the integrity of the Working Committee, it added.
