DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 2: The Association of Indigenous Minority Tribes of Nagaland (AIMTN) has expressed dismay at the lackadaisical attitude of the Government of Nagaland towards the four Indigenous minority tribes of Nagaland with regard to the formation of District Level Coordination Committee for IIC/PRC under RIIN.

In a press release, AIMTN representing Kuki, Kachari, Garo and Mikir (Karbi), said there has been no response from the Government even after it submitted a representation to the Chief Secretary on September 24, 2024 and subsequent press release on September 29, 2024.

“The silence of the Government on the representation is taken as a step-motherly treatment towards the four Indigenous tribes of Nagaland”, it stated.

The four Indigenous minority tribes informed that it has decided not to participate in any of the District Level Coordination Committee for IIC/PRC until the Government of Nagaland gives an acceptable reply to the representation submitted to the Chief Secretary on September 24 on the matter.
