People’s Plan Campaign for GPDP 2025-26 conducted at Jakhama

Dimapur, November 1: One-day orientation program was conducted at Jakhama Sub-Division on November 1 on People’s Plan Campaign for the preparation of the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for Financial Year 2025-2026. The program was organised by the department of Rural Development, RD Block Jakhama.

The event included training for line departments and village stakeholders on the Panchayati Raj-Community-Based Organizations (PR-CBO) Convergence program.

The resource person, BDO Jakhama, Vilopi Angami delivered insights on the preparation of the GPDP, emphasizing methods to involve community input in the planning process. Meanwhile, resource person, State Project Coordinator, Kheboka briefed on PRI-CBO Convergence Program, where he said, PRI-CBO Convergence project is a model for supporting both Panchayati Raj Institutions and Community based organization network for effective convergence leading to sustainable and better implementation of NRLM.

He also highlighted the objectives of the project and major activities like capacity building of CBO network, working with local governance and communitized committees.

Earlier, the program was chaired by Block program Manager, Vitsituo Mepfhù-o, while Menguno Koso envoked God’s blessing and Seyievito Neikha proposed the vote of thanks. Village Council Chairmen and VDB Secretaries from twelve villages along with SHGs attended the program.
