God, Teach Me To Stop Letting Worry Write My Story

There are days when life feels heavier than it should — when the bills stack up, when the struggles don’t make sense, when the quiet worry of “How am I going to get through this?” sits in the back of your mind all day. It is not always the big challenges that break you; sometimes it is the everyday pressures that slowly hollow you out, that slowly wear you down. And it is in those moments, God, when we need your steadiness most.
Dear God, when money feels tight and my heart feels anxious, remind me that you are still my provider. Remind me that you have carried me through every tight place before, that you have made a way in moments when I couldn’t see one, that your provision has never depended on my circumstances. You are not limited by what I lack — you are limitless in what you can do.
Help me notice the small mercies that prove that you are near: the bill that gets paid just in time, the meal that stretches further than expected, the unexpected kindness that arrives on the day I needed it most. These aren’t coincidences — they are reminders that you are still taking care of me.
Teach me not to let worry become the language of my heart. When my thoughts start to spiral, pull me back into trust. When anxiety rises, interrupt it with gratitude. When doubt whispers that I am alone in this, remind me that you are already working in ways I can’t see yet.
I may not understand the timing, but I trust the one behind it. Maybe this season is strengthening me. Maybe it’s shaping me. Maybe it’s preparing something better than what I thought I needed. Whatever the reason, I believe you are faithful, God. I believe you are there.
So when my peace feels thin, stretch it with your presence. When my patience runs out, refill it with hope. And when the pressure feels overwhelming, remind me of every time that you have come through before.
Amen.
