Mario Lopez Posted an AI-Generated Clip of His Niece That Commenters Called “Weird And Disgusting”

The clip showed an AI version of Mario Lopez scolding his 19-year-old niece as she smeared mustard on her face trying to eat two hot dogs at once. He made it with Grok, posted it, and pulled it after people told him what it looked like.

The video was built with Elon Musk’s Grok and showed a fake Lopez telling his niece, Kalia “YaYa” Wong, “I can’t take her anywhere” and “Oh my God! Look at you!” as she rubbed mustard on her face.

It was captured by freelance journalist Yashar Ali before Lopez, 52, deleted it. Commenters called it “one of the weirdest tweets I’ve ever seen” and “sexually fetishizing,” and one wrote that “using AI to sexualize your niece is weird and disgusting.”

Lopez had posted a real clip with Wong two days earlier, on August 2, hyping the Dodgers’ postseason while she ate ice cream and said she’d bring the team good luck.

The “Saved by the Bell” alum hasn’t addressed the deleted video. Grok’s image and video tools have drawn lawsuits after being used to generate fake nude images of teens.
