Kim Kardashian Shares How Many Nannies It Takes Her to Raise 4 Kids with Kanye West

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have four children: North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7. Kim says she has 5 nannies caring for the 4 children, with 1 always on duty when the kids are with her.

The 45-year-old described the arrangement in a profile published October 3. She says she handles school drop-offs and pickups herself and joins them for dinner every night.

“I think I am an intermediate-strict parent,” she said. “I’m extremely patient and loving. I still have a kid sleep in my bed when they want. I read books with the kids every night.”

She also said she and West, 49, coordinate on North’s solo music career. “That is something that her dad and I have better communication about,” Kardashian said.

“We make sure we’re aligned and that she’s in projects that we both approve.” The former couple were married from 2014 to 2022.

Kardashian previously described feeling “alone” as a parent during a 2024 appearance on the “What’s in the Winkler” podcast. She acknowledged having “great support systems” while describing nights when her children were in her bed, kicking and crying.

She said she often held back from discussing those struggles because she expected judgment about the help she could afford. “People will always jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help,’” she said.
